  • Opening of 1500 JAKs: On 31st January 2025, Shri Amit Agrawal, Secretary of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, successfully inaugurated Jan Aushadhi Kendra in Dilli Haat. This marked a pivotal step towards making healthcare more accessible and affordable across India.

  • Product Range: The JAKs offered are sold at 50% to 80% cheaper than branded medicines, ensuring that the public can access high-quality generic medicines without financial strain.

  • Interactive Session with PMD Members: During the Jan Aushadhi Kendra launch, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other departmental leaders held an interactive session with PMD (Pharmaceutical Management Department) members. This event aimed to educate citizens about PBMJP and other essential pharmaceutical products, fostering a better understanding of healthcare infrastructure.

As of 31st January 2025, 15,000 JAKs had been opened across the country. The initiative’s target to open 25,000 JAKs by March 2027 is a clear vision for future growth.
