OPERATION BRAHMA: INDIAN ARMY’S DEDICATED response to Myanmar’s Earthquake

In a harrowing but also inspiring moment, the Indian Army has taken significant action in the face of the devastating 2025 Earthquake that struck Myanmar. Under the leadership of Shatrujeet Brigade Medical Responders led by Lieutenant Colonel Jagneet Gill, India has initiated Operation Brahma, a special medical task force dedicated to providing immediate humanitarian assistance to those affected by the crisis.

With a carefully assembled team of 118 members from the elite Shatrujeet Brigade Medical Responders, the operation is set to take off quickly. The Airborne Angels Task Force, equipped with advanced medical and surgical equipment, will be deployed in the disaster-affected areas to deliver critical care. This includes setting up a 60-bed Medical Treatment Centre capable of handling trauma cases, emergency surgeries, and essential medical services.
