NCRTC Beginits Trial Runs of Namo Bharat Train on Final Stretch of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Corridor

Introduction: As high-speed rail projects continue to expand across India, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is making strides in connecting its central areas with cities like Delhi. Today, NC RTC begins trial runs of the Namo Bharat train on the final stretch of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, reaching Modipuram, the last station in this section.

Current Situation: The Namo Bharat train has been a popular option for passengers traveling between central areas and cities like Delhi. However, its high speed made crossing through Meerut, a key segment of the railway network, challenging. Now, NC RTC is addressing this issue by conducting trial runs on the final section of the corridor.

Trial Runs: NCRTC has begun trial operations on two sections flanking the operational segment between New Ashok Nagar and Sarai Kale Khan. These trials will focus on operating the Namo Bharat train through Meerut, a crucial step in connecting the central areas with Delhi via high-speed rail.

Civil Work Done: The completion of Civil work is a significant milestone. Between New Ashok Nagar to Sarai Kale Khan and Meerut South to Modipuram, NC RTC has completed track laying, electrification, and signaling work. This marks the first time the Namo Bharat train traverses the underground section of Meerut.

Conclusion: NCRTC’s efforts are a testament to its commitment to high-speed rail projects. By starting trial runs of the Namo Bharat train on the final stretch of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, NC RTC is advancing its infrastructure in a crucial part of India’s railway network.
